Located in Kirkwood, Pennsylvania, Octoraro specializes in cultivating a wide range of shrubs and trees, dedicated to sustainable environmental, horticultural, and business practices. The Challenge

The Octoraro team were keen to move away from their legacy platform to a more comprehensive and intuitive system. Offering customers the option of ordering online was also an important requirement.

The Solution

Jim and his team prioritized obtaining precise, real-time data on seed and finished plant inventory. By collaborating closely with Jim, Rhianna, and Kevin, we created a customized seed inventory module that brought significant time savings for both staff and the business. The integrated web shop enhanced customer communication and greatly streamlined order processing for the Octoraro team.

The Result

Across-the-board efficiencies and a major advancement in data management and customer interaction, as Jim explains below...

"We've completed four nursery IT platform upgrades in our 35-year history, and the conversion to Growflo has been the smoothest so far. Alan, Paul and the whole Growflo team is talented, dependable and available when you need them (plus they're just fun to work with). We've had a web-based inventory and order entry program for over 15 years, but the new Growflo webshop has been a marked improvement. With real-time inventory and seamless transition to the ERP, we've saved countless hours of data entry and simplified communication with our customers. As is typical of our industry, we have diverse processes, and Growflo was able to customize the platform to meet our needs. We're three months in from "go live" and we're receiving positive responses from our customers and realizing efficiencies across all segments of our business."
